 The Ather 450 is an electric scooter made by Ather Energy, a Bengaluru-based two-wheeler company. The e-scooter comes with a variety of modern technologies and a discreet yet elegant style that should appeal to Millennials. The Ather 450 is available for purchase for Rs 1,13,715 or lease at Rs 2,589 per month (both prices are for Bengaluru).

 Ather Grid, a comprehensive infrastructure created by the two-wheeler company, is one of the charging solutions. Ather Energy also sells a home charger called the Ather Dot. The fast charger can recharge the battery pack up to 80% at a rate of one kilometre per minute. The home charger, on the other hand, takes five hours and 15 minutes to fully recharge the battery. The electric scooter also has a portable charger that can be used to charge the battery pack using a 5A outlet.

 

 The electric scooter is driven by a BLDC motor that produces 20.5Nm of torque and 5.4kW of peak power (7.24bhp). The acceleration from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour takes 3.9 seconds, and the top speed is 80 kilometres per hour. A 2.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motor. The range is determined by the mode selected. Eco mode is said to give up to 75 kilometres per charge, while Ride and Sport are said to deliver 65 and 55 kilometres per charge, respectively. 

Full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen display, on-board navigation, digital document storage, 24X7 connectivity with an in-built SIM, reverse mode, telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and a combined braking system are among the features of the Ather 450. The Ather 450 weighs in about 111 kilogrammes each scooter and comes in a single colour option. The e-scooter has a low centre of gravity and zero lateral offset, allowing it to be more agile in city riding situations.

Ather Energy sends out over-the-air software updates on a regular basis, and diagnostics may be performed using a smartphone (and the app). You may check charge status, push navigation, examine ride statistics, and book service remotely using the dedicated Ather app. Other services include pick-up and drop-off at your home, roadside assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and remote diagnostics.
