Expected launch date of Tesla Model S in India is Mar 01, 2023.

Tesla India Motors And Energy Private Limited is a Tesla Inc. subsidiary that handles the company's Indian activities. On January 8, 2021, the company was incorporated in Bengaluru, Karnataka.  Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, stated on Twitter that the company had formally registered with the Registrar of Companies in India at its Bengaluru office. Nitin Gadkari, India's transport minister, has announced Tesla's arrival in the country.

Tesla Model S Powertrain, offers three electric options for the international-spec Model S: Long Range, Plaid, and Plaid+. While the Long Range model has a dual-motor arrangement with a stated range of over 660 kilometres, the Plaid and Plaid+ models have a tri-motor setup with claimed ranges of 627 kilometres and 837 kilometres, respectively. All models are equipped with all-wheel drive. Each variation can sprint from 0 to 96 kilometres per hour (0-60 miles per hour) in 3.1, 1.99, and less than 1.99 seconds, respectively.

Up to 21-inch alloy wheels, a glass roof, two wireless smartphone charging pads, and a 22-speaker 960W audio system are included in the Model S. Tri-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a 17-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an 8-inch touchscreen system for the rear passengers are all included.
